Last week, the administrative consultation on the Crop Protection Covenant took place. Feedback from the members' webinar held on 2 July was incorporated into the process leading up to the covenant.

The cooperating agricultural organisations LTO Nederland, BO Akkerbouw, Greenports Nederland and NAJK have worked under considerable time pressure to develop the outline of the covenant.

Approval of these main principles – and the possible signing of the outline agreement during the week of 13 July – primarily confirms that the parties intend to further develop the covenant. The final substantive agreements will be worked out after the summer recess, in close cooperation with all parties involved. These will subsequently be translated into sector-specific sub-agreements.
