The prize is an incentive award presented by the municipality of Zundert to a company that demonstrates that sustainable entrepreneurship is not merely an ambition, but is actually put into practice. The winner also contributes to Zundert’s green image and inspires other entrepreneurs to take steps as well.

When are you eligible for the prize?
During GrootGroenPlus, the jury will assess companies from the municipality and their presentations at the trade fair. It is not just about having an attractive green stand. The sustainable choices behind the company are important as well. The 2024 winner, Dictus Hereijgers Boomkwekerij, for example, stood out for its water wells on its own premises, mechanical weed control and the efficient location of its business land, reducing the need for transport movements.

Innovation and collaboration can also make an important difference. In 2025, the award went to ROOTZ. The knowledge and innovation centre was recognised for connecting research with practice and bringing growers, companies and educational institutions together to work on new technologies and business models.
