Messe Essen is organising the International Horticultural Fair IPM for the 40th time from 23-26 January. In this anniversary edition, 32 Flemish horticultural companies are taking part. They will be at three group stands under the aegis of the Flemish Centre for Agriculture and Fisheries Marketing (VLAM).

Belgian companies have been flocking to Essen every year since the International Horticultural Fair began in 1983. Plans for the 40th participation have already been laid out: 32 Flemish horticultural companies will present themselves to the international trade public from 23 to 26 January 2024. The VLAM group stands are spread across halls 2, 6 and 8:

Colourful cubes

The VLAM group stands stand out even from a distance because of colourful cubes stacked on top of each other with striking images of plants, trees and shrubs. Next to the inscription "FLANDERS/BELGIUM" is the slogan "WE GROW YOUR WAY", which makes clear the personalised customer service of the Belgian players.

Broad product portfolio

The fair appearance focuses on typical Flemish products such as azaleas, rhododendrons, flowering houseplants, Flemish laurel and chrysanthemums, as well as shrubs, young plants, bedding plants and nursery products.

Climate-resistant trees and shrubs are now an integral part of the Flemish product portfolio. Thanks in part to the exemplary support of the so-called "Technopool Ornamental Horticulture" - a collaboration between four leading Flemish research centres - the Flemish companies are excellently positioned internationally.

It goes without saying that sustainability, resource efficiency, integrated crop protection, etc. are firmly embedded in the Flemish horticulture sector.
