During the 34th edition of trade fair GrootGroenPlus, Renzo Gerritsen from RG Fotografie will take care of all photography and videography. Along with his team , he will make sure that all participants are in the picture, in line with the theme. Renzo Gerritsen is mainly known for the controversial reports he is making, and the book ‘Gezeik in Amsterdam’ (Taking a Piss in Amsterdam), in which he discusses a particular bit of the history of Amsterdam.

In the Picture

This year’s theme of trade fair GrootGroenPlus is ‘In the Picture’. Even though we’ve always paid a lot of attention to photography and film at the trade fair in the past, we feel that this year’s theme offers an invitation to do more. That is why this year, we have opted for a young team with experience at the trade fair. Gerritsen always goes for great images combined with a great story. And from 2-4 October, we’d like to put that kind of spotlight on our participants, their products and everything green in Zundert. 

This will be done through photo’s of the participants, filming multiple interviews, and much more. Besides that, Renzo and his team, including Dan Zonneveld and Max Broenik, will create atmospheric images, record important moments at the trade fair and the important trade fair locations, and conduct interviews with members of the organisation and visitors. 

To be seen online and offline

The result will be available online and offline, both during and after the trade fair, in professional journals, through the GrootGroenPlus social media channels, the YouTube channel, and of course through the website.  

Photo contest

The photos of participants and suppliers also play an important part during this edition of the trade fair. They are encouraged to submit up to five high-quality and beautiful photos that - together - tell a compelling story. Along with the photos, entrants should also write that story down. However, this story won't be shared with the jury immediately. They will only see the photos and create their version of the story. That interpretation will be compared to the original submission. The best entries will be showcased at the trade fair, and one outstanding submission will be awarded a special prize. Maybe Renzo wants to participate too?
