In 2024, a total of 28 plants were submitted for the GreenGrandPrix. The jury evaluated the plants in the stands of the participants, leading to engaging dialogues and sometimes lively discussions. Ultimately, the jury issued 10 classifications: 4 A's, 4 B's, and 2 C's.

All the plants will be displayed on stage in the central hall during the trade fair. Additionally, pillars and certificates have been placed in the stands themselves. Participants, visitors, jurors, and the press are all enthusiastic about this renewed concept in plant judging. It is expected that the GreenGrandPrix will continue to grow in the coming years.

This year's guiding statement was: "This plant deserves attention," fully aligned with the trade fair theme "In The Picture." Various aspects were considered, including the assessment of (cultivation) performance, novelty value, market potential, and biodiversity value. The jury, consisting of renowned industry specialists Danny Alards, Peter Vanlaerhoven, Chris van der Wurff, David Bömer, Renato Ferretti, Ajicja Cecot, Rick van der Horst, and Jaap Smit, was able to award certificates with A, B, and C classifications on 2 October 2024. The A classification is the highest achievable classification. Unlike exhibition evaluations, the criterion of whether something has been awarded previously is of secondary importance. As long as the plant, according to the participant registering it, deserves extra attention because it should be cultivated (more), the GGP provides the opportunity for it to be judged during the trade fair.
