On the morning of Wednesday 2 October 2024, the jury made its rounds at trade fair GrootGroenPlus to select the winners of the Jan van Dongen Award and the Jac. Lodders Award. The jury, consisting of Corné de Vooght, Marc Lodders, Corné Oostvogels, Diantha Slingerland, Jac van Nijnatten, Andreas Henk, Frank Nooijens, and Luuk Roozeboom, reviewed and evaluated all the stands along the three routes.

The Jac. Lodders Award is presented annually to the best green stand. This year, the nominees were Multiflora - Szkółka Roślin (R026), Hoogenraad Handelskwekerijen BV (G104), and Roelands Tree Nurseries BV (B019). The latter received the certificate for the best green stand from jury chairman Corné de Vooght on behalf of the main sponsor, Rabobank. The company is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and beautifully showcased this milestone. In this jubilee year, they once again took home the Jac. Lodders Award. This wasn't the first time for Frank, Marina, Jelle, and Rowy Roelands of Roelands Boomkwekerijen BV (B019). They always put a lot of effort into their stand, and they frequently win awards. We are already excited to see what they come up with next year! In any case, they are warmly congratulated. The certificate was immediately placed in the stand, and they will undoubtedly be In The Picture throughout the entire trade fair.

Treeport BCT Partners BV ROOTZ (B095) wins the Jan van Dongen Award

The Jan van Dongen Award is presented annually to the best supplier stand. The nominees were stand R081 of MVL Beregening Techniek B.V., MVL Kwekerij Realisatie B.V., MVL Metaaltechniek B.V., Bricks Presentation B.V., R029 Modiform B.V., and Treeport BCT Partners BV ROOTZ. Jury chairman Corné de Vooght, representing main sponsor Rabobank, awarded the certificate for the best supplier stand to the latter. A completely circular stand, which had already been highlighted frequently on social media prior to the event. ROOTZ is proud to have been able to shape its stand with elements from the interior of its brand-new building. Proud of the first prize BCT has ever won and, as the host location for Europe’s largest tree nursery trade fair, it’s a double reward!
