Complete assortment, personal approach, and strong regional ties. Moris Plantenkwekerij from Belgian Limburg will debut at GrootGroenPlus in October 2025. The nursery, led by Stefan Moris, has been active since 1996 and specializes in evergreen shrubs, ground covers, perennials and ornamental grasses. With more than 500 species, the company offers a complete package for wholesalers and garden centers.

From humble beginnings to broad assortment

When Stefan Moris started in 1996, there was no container field in sight. Today, the nursery covers 4.5 hectares and supplies a wide assortment to customers both domestically and abroad. About 70% of sales go to wholesalers, and 30% to garden centers. Cooperation with fellow growers plays a key role in the business.

Assortment and market position

Moris  offers a diverse mix of plants suited for gardens and public spaces. In addition to a wide range of perennials, ground covers and grasses, the company is well known for its evergreen shrubs. Thanks to its complete offering and capacity for large volumes, Moris stands out from smaller niche growers.

First time at GrootGroenPlus

This year marks Moris's first appearance as an exhibitor at GrootGroenPlus. Together with four fellow growers from Belgian Limburg, they will exhibit as a collective. “We hope to connect with Eastern European buyers,” says Stefan Moris. “The Belgian and Dutch markets know us well, but we’re ready to expand.” One highlight on their stand will be the Phillyrea angustifolia – a plant Moris believes deserves more attention.

Collaboration and vision

Efficient water management is a key strength at the nursery. But equally important are lasting customer relationships and collaboration with peers. “We believe in mutual support. Together we are stronger,” says Moris. Looking ahead, he envisions a reliable nursery with a broad, solid assortment.

“Once a customer, always a customer.” – Stefan Moris, owner of Moris Plantenkwekerij
