In the Spotlight: Vlemminx Bomen at GrootGroenPlus 2025
Wide assortment, short supply chains, and a focus on quality. Vlemminx Bomen from Oirschot is a familiar name at GrootGroenPlus. In 2025, the nursery led by Joost Vlemminx will exhibit for the eighth time, this year presenting a selection of new, non-standard tree varieties. The business focuses on growing young trees and whips for parks and avenues, supplying growers, cash & carry centers, and trading companies.
Small-scale but highly flexible
Founded in 2005, the nursery operates with a compact team and short communication lines. "Because we're small, we can apply our knowledge directly for the benefit of customers," says Joost Vlemminx. With a broad range and hands-on service, clients benefit from fast, informed support.
Strengthening relationships at the fair
GrootGroenPlus is primarily an opportunity for Vlemminx to maintain and deepen existing relationships. "I want to build the best possible relationship with my clients, and this fair plays a key role in that," he explains. In addition to its familiar assortment, the nursery will showcase novelties that set it apart from mainstream suppliers.
Smart and sustainable growing
Water management is a major focus at the nursery. Investments in efficient irrigation systems allow for year-round production, ensuring the assortment remains broad and reliable. Vlemminx is also making strides in mechanization.
"We have to move toward sustainable operations — it’s no longer optional," says Vlemminx. "Not bigger, but always better — that’s my vision for the future."
