As of June 25, 2025, TTO Willem will continue under the new name Boomkwekerij Nutrival. This new name — a combination of Nut, Tree, and Nutrition — highlights the direction the family business has taken in recent years: breeding and cultivating high-quality nut and fruit trees for the professional market.

Located in the countryside of Kesteren, Boomkwekerij Nutrival specializes in walnut and hazelnut trees, as well as other fruit trees such as sweet chestnut, almond, and various stone and pome fruits. The nursery works with its own breeding lines and focuses on varieties with high yields, strong disease resistance, and excellent adaptation to the European climate. Soil health, nutrition, and genetics are recurring themes within the company.

The name TTO Willem (Applied Cultivation Development) served the company well for many years, but according to the Huibers family, it no longer matched their current positioning. “The name Nutrival immediately communicates what we do and what we stand for,” say Willem, Johan, and Gerard Huibers. “We are committed to a healthy future for nut cultivation in the Netherlands and beyond.”
