Baumschule Hachmann: 2000 premium varieties from Northern Germany

Based in Barmstedt, Germany, Baumschule Hachmann has been a trusted name in ornamental woody plants since 1929. The nursery offers more than 2000 varieties, including Rhododendrons, Japanese maples, Hamamelis, Cornus, heathers, deciduous shrubs and conifers – all grown in robust quality for the European green retail market.
At GrootGroenPlus, Holger Hachmann and his team will present a curated selection of their extensive range. A highlight is the new Grazeasy® ‘Purple’, a Rhododendron with slender leaves and a striking violet bloom – introduced as part of their ongoing breeding programme.
Sustainability also plays a key role. Hachmann has been working with reduced peat for many years and is now increasing the use of peat substitutes in production. Their participation at GrootGroenPlus is aimed at expanding their customer base across Europe.
“Our strength is the assortment,” says production manager Emanuel Hundt.
