In 2021, Treeport BCT Partners BV and Plant Market Vastgoed BV reached an agreement regarding the purchase and sale of a plot on the BCT site. Plant Market's objective was to establish a dedicated distribution centre at this location, prompted by the company’s ongoing growth and the need for additional square metres.

Due to delays in the overall process, Plant Market decided last year to take an interim step by developing a site at the outskirts of Zundert. This development aligns with the steady growth the plant trader and sales platform continues to experience.

Strategic considerations

Plant Market, known for its innovative approach of the plant trade, has explored various scenarios in the recent months, in collaboration with all stakeholders. Given the successful expansion of operations at the Rustenburgstraat in Zundert, the company has undertaken a strategic reassessment. As a result, Plant Market has decided, for the time being, not to establish itself at the BCT site. 

For now, Plant Market has opted to focus on its growth ambitions from the site at the outskirts of Zundert, where they were already developing a location. In the coming period, Plant Market will continue to pursue its trajectory with an emphasis on further growth and innovation.
