Wilbert Stek from Honselersdijk is taking the next step in digitalisation with the launch of a new website. Customers can now easily view, select and order cuttings online – no login required. ‘We want to make things as easy as possible for our customers,’ says owner Wilbert van Luenen. ‘The site is more user-friendly, faster and better aligned with how growers work today.’

The updated website offers a full overview of the assortment, complete with clear photos and real-time availability. ‘You can immediately see what’s ready and what’s in production,’ Van Luenen explains. ‘More and more customers are ordering outside regular hours, including from abroad. This new system makes that easier. It’s open access – anyone can place an order directly.’

In addition to the digital upgrade, Wilbert Stek continues to expand its range. Alongside well-known varieties such as Photinia, Euonymus and Elaeagnus, new species like Magnolia have been added this season. ‘We listen closely to our customers,’ says Van Luenen. ‘We try to deliver what they ask for – but always with an eye on quality and reliability. We only grow what we’re confident in and can guarantee.’

Wilbert Stek supplies cuttings to growers across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and increasingly further abroad. ‘Exports are rising, but we’re growing carefully,’ says Van Luenen. ‘Our strength lies in reliability – strong, uniform cuttings produced at the right time. That takes craftsmanship and attention, and that’s what we’ll continue to focus on.’

Participation in **GrootGroenPlus** remains an important part of the company’s strategy. ‘It’s the fair where trade, knowledge and relationships come together,’ says Van Luenen. ‘We meet long-term clients there, but also new ones who first find us online. It’s great to see how digital tools and personal contact complement each other.’

With its blend of digital innovation, craftsmanship and customer-driven growth, Wilbert Stek looks to the future with confidence. ‘The industry is changing fast,’ Van Luenen concludes. ‘But if you keep listening to your customers and investing in quality, there’s always a future.’
