Royal FloraHolland launches second major annual trade fair

Flora Spring Expo is a new, innovative trade fair concept from RFH, the international hub for the floriculture industry. In March, Oost-Aalsmeer will be a lively meeting place for an international trade audience from the floriculture sector, where inspiration, business, knowledge sharing and innovation take centre stage. Discover the future of floriculture is the central theme at Flora Spring Expo, with the subtitle: ‘Growing the future together’.
New direction, fresh concept
With its clear direction of two major trade fairs per year – mapped out on the basis of extensive research and discussions with exhibitors and visitors to trade fairs – RFH is responding to the changing trade fair landscape and current market demands. Team leader Debby Blewanus of RFH: "The need for trade fairs with clear positioning, strong presentations of new products and relevant visitors was clearly evident. Growers want to promote themselves at times that suit their product, while buyers are becoming increasingly selective in their trade fair visits. We are responding to this with the fresh and focused concept of the Flora Spring Expo. This is Royal FloraHolland's new spring trade fair, where the floriculture sector comes into bloom. For two days, Aalsmeer-Oost will be all about inspiration, innovation, doing business and meeting people."
Retail, tree nurseries and novelties
The Flora Spring Expo will not take place in one of Royal FloraHolland's auction halls, but on the adjacent outdoor logistics site (Aalsmeer-Oost). Four large aluminium halls will be erected there and decorated in an attractive and warm style.
The spring fair will feature a wide range of products under three themes: outdoor plants, indoor plants and cut flowers. From garden plants, bedding plants, tree nurseries, green and flowering indoor plants, cut flowers and added value such as packaging. Specific attention will be paid to segments such as retail, tree nurseries and novelties.
Debby Blewanus is looking forward to inspiring growers and buyers at the Flora Spring Expo: "We offer a unique range of flowers and plants; fresh, colourful and perfect for spring. There will be a wealth of new concepts, novelties and sustainable solutions to discover. Experts will highlight the latest developments in innovation, sustainability and digitisation during trade-specific sessions. This element of knowledge transfer adds significant value to this new trade fair." Royal Flora Holland expects around 150 exhibitors and some 3,000 visitors at this spring trade fair.
