TTS joins GGP.news

With its practical view on rooting, tray development and young plant quality, TTS has built a clear position within the international tree nursery industry in recent years. The company, owned by Rob Tolenaars, focuses on tray systems that not only make efficient production possible, but above all contribute to a stronger root system and more uniform plant development.
TTS is now joining GGP.news as a partner. This adds a party to the platform that strongly focuses on innovation at the beginning of the chain: the cultivation of young plant material. Themes such as root quality, mechanisation, irrigation, uniformity and labour efficiency are playing an increasingly important role in this.
According to Tolenaars, attention within the industry is slowly shifting from “as much above-ground growth as possible” towards the quality of the root system and the eventual performance of the plant in the field. That is exactly where TTS wants to make a difference.
“We believe that a tray should do more than simply hold a plant. The tray should actively contribute to better root development.”
Within GGP.news, TTS will in the coming period share knowledge about tray technology, air pruning, rooting strategies and the influence of plug and tray choices on further cultivation. Practical experiences from growers and developments surrounding mechanisation and automation will also receive attention.
With the addition of TTS, GGP.news once again strengthens its network of partners that actively contribute to the future of the tree nursery industry.
